A little dated technology, but perfect for me July 14, 2010 Michael Meredith (St. Louis, MO United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Here is my situation... in addition to the basic communication functions, I expect my phone to keep my calendar, in sync with my MS Outlook (which also syncs with Google Calendar). The Blackjack does that effortlessly!
I originally became so frustrated with my Samsung Solstice a887 Phone (AT&T) that I resolved to spend the bucks to get an unlocked phone a full year and a half before my contract was to expire. My chief complaint with the Solstice was the calendar, it's bad enough that it doesn't sync directly with Outlook (it has its own proprietary calendar/contacts software that does that) but the real problem is that the file record limitations for the Solstice mean that you'll retain little more than the name of the appointment, the phone number or address and little else.
The Blackjack has none of those limitations, which means that I can put an entire travel itinerary in an appointment file and easily retrieve flight numbers and references without the fear of the text ending early.
I like the keyboard, it's great for texting. And using Activsync, all I have to do is plug my phone into a USB port and the calendar is updated within minutes.
Technologically speaking, this is probably a couple years behind the curve. I wouldn't suggest this to heavy mobile internet users, but for the occaisional email retrieval or send it's fine. What's important is that you have a good idea as to what functions you'll actually use and/or need. Why spend more for bells and whistles that hold little or no appeal to you?
This is not what it seems...AT&T phone. July 11, 2010 Angel I purchase this phone for a Tmobile account, because on the internet , it said works with Tmobile or At&t, but the true part is, It only works for AT&T. It is a nice fashionable , light weight phone, but no use because i couldnt activate it. Amazon, was excellent in understanding and issued a complete refund, prepaid label to return. I liked there immediate attention in the matter, to make me feel as a valued customer. I will most definately share my experience with co-worker-friends & family. I was advised to buy here from a co-worker, and she was right, the prompt service and expertise is excellent. This is only for AMAZON.com, the other suppliers they have, that is a total different story.
lots of phone for under $100 bucks July 8, 2010 Daryl Richardson The phone is a steal for the price, i have no problem with the phone, only thing is
when someone buys a NEW phone, you expect everything in that box to be new. in my case everything was new but the charger, the end lokked like someones chewing toy. other than that am beyond satisfaction.
Horrible Service July 3, 2010 Shon I order this phone in May. It was broken the day after I got it. So I send it back to exchange for a new one. Its July now, and I have yet to get my phone. Also when I send email to them a couple times, their replies are the same. It looks like just some bot replying the emails with the exact same message. So, DON'T BUY FROM THEM.
Samsung Blackjack i607 June 14, 2010 Alejandra Jaimes (Kanasa) The phone itself is pretty cool and all the functions work on it, although it would not fully work as a smartphone on my tmobile network because i could not access any of the internet apps. Other then that, nice phone.
