I bought this and another case at the same time. After trying both, it's this one that is the real keeper. It protects fairly well, yet doesn't get in the way when it comes to fitting in a belt clip case. The only disadvantage is that it really doesn't protect the face at the edges like others. Overall I am very happy with this case.

The shape and fit of the product are great; however, the dull finish started to peel off within a week. Doesn't look good on a brand new iPhone.

I used to have the black Feather case for the iPhone 3GS and never had any issues with it. The same for the iPhone 4, on the other hand, is pretty rotten.
In a matter of weeks, the rubbery finish has chipped away around all of the edges of the case. This case is treated in exactly the same way as the one on my 3GS, meaning the most "extreme" thing it encounters is being slid in and out of a jeans pocket, yet it already looks like it's been used for years on a construction project or something.
Also, I definitely agree with others that this case does not provide nearly as much protection around the edges as the old iPhone 3GS Feather case. The sides of the case aren't even flush with the front of the phone, so if the phone were to be dropped on its face, the case would offer no protection whatsoever. Much of the bare phone is also exposed on the top and bottom whereas the 3GS Feather case simply left holes for buttons and connectors to show through while protecting the rest of the surface.
The worst part, however, is that Incipio is completely unwilling to acknowledge the problem when contacted, is not standing by their product, and God forbid they "approve" an unfavorable review from being published on their website. I've tried to publish this same review on their website only to have it never appear. Meanwhile, their page for this product shows a constant stream of 5/5 and 4.5/5 reviews for this case. This pathetic experience has turned me off of Incipio forever.

This is case #2 - I bought a Belkin and that one was bulky, the white discolored and the clear piece for the back scratched very easily - so I was in a search for something thin, and streamlined looking and I needed one FAST.
I can't compare this to other iPhone cases and this is my first iPhone and the 2nd case I've had for it. What I can tell you is my experience.
What I like - case came fast, it's THIN. i mean THIN. I don't even notice that I have a case over my phone. Easy to install - just snaps it. It doesn't seem flimsy- i haven't had any issues with my phone coming out of the case. The coverings are perfect so I can use my charger (the case I had before created some distance between the connection and I'd have to JAM it in to charge. I like the smooth satin feel - gives it some grip (I've got butterfingers).
This came with 2 screen protectors - i tried putting one on but I couldn't get the bubbles out. It didn't diminish the sensitivity to the screen but I opted to not deal with that.
One complaint (mostly from my husband) is that this case is ALL BLACK, it hides the "beauty" of the phone, it's engineered awesomeness is now enclosed. Personally - not a big deal to me. I need a case to protect my phone.
Reception issues - Don't have any - maybe it's the case, maybe it's AT&T, maybe i don't call on it often..who knows.

The finish on the case started peeling about 2 weeks after purchasing it. The phone spends most of the time sitting quietly on my desk, so there was no reason for that amount of wear and tear. I initially liked this case a lot because of the low profile look, but now I need to buy a new case. :-(
