The OtterBox is an awesome cover, very durable and although I haven't fully submerged it in water, I have dropped it on the street while it was pouring rain, so I feel confident saying it's mostly waterproof. The only issue I have with it is, (and I don't know if its the same with every OtterBox or just a flaw in mine alone)that somehow it covers up the proximity sensor on my Iphone just right so that when I am making a phone call and pull it away from my ear the screen stays black and I cannot access any of the options. Seriously though I have dropped my Iphone quite a few times now and I can say with certainty that my Phone would probably be broken right now if it wasn't for the OtterBox. So I'm sticking with the OtterBox because the good outweighs the bad.

I am very happy with the OtterBox. The only problem I have with it is I cannot hook up my car charger to my phone because the opening at the bottom is too small. I had to give it to my son. I did, however, drop my phone twice with the OtterBox, and nothing happened. This is iPhone armor!!
