| Customer Reviews: Good Basic International Phone June 10, 2010 Shopper Mom 7 (Virginia) This is a good basic international phone - which is all we wanted. We have not used it overseas yet, but will this summer. I have used it with US prepaid SIM card. One note - the directions don't mention how to put the SIM card in. Unlike most US phones, the silver bracket holding the SIM card does not pop up in order to insert the SIM card. You have to push the SIM card down pretty hard and then slide it in. Otherwise it won't fit. Once we figured it out, it worked great.
Beautiful Phone, just keep it closed. May 7, 2010 Rhythm N' Blue (Sydney/Saigon/Irvine/Waikiki) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you want a phone to show off to friends while you set it on the table at the restaurant or in a coffee shop, this is the phone to go.
As long as you don't open it.
It is gorgeous on the outside.
Alas, once you open it, you will see why it costs so low.
Operation wise it is very plain and functional, nothing glamorous or extravagant.
When closed it has an extremely small profile, great for people who don't like big phones like the iPhone like me.
Overall a decent phone.
Samsung M310 Unlocked Quad-Band Global Phone April 28, 2010 Laura M. Kijak (Atlanta, GA USA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this phone for an upcoming trip to Europe. I haven't had a chance to use it yet as I need to buy a sim card when I arrive overseas. From what I can tell, this will be a great phone for my intended use. I wanted something to keep in touch with my traveling partners in case we split up (or lose each other!). The phone arrived very quickly & was in perfect condition. The best thing I can see right now is that this phone's battery really holds a charge! Of course, I haven't used it yet, but the charge lasts a LONG time. It is very easy to use & navigate....
I think I will be very happy that I chose this Samsung phone -
So far, I would definitely recommend this phone!!
Wow is this a basic phone! April 16, 2010 David Zamula (Arlington, VA United States) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I got this for one reason only, to use with a SIMM card while I am overseas in Europe. Like most Samsungs, it is well made and the keys work and the sound quality is very good. The downside is using any features other than the phone, it is just so basic. Also, the menu structure will discourage you from using any features. I think a better choice is the Nokia equivalent, for example, the 6102.
